Job summary

Gerdau Ameristeel Corp. in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Melt Shop Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance activities in the Melt Shop, coordinating with the Superintendent and a maintenance facilitator to improve reliability.

The role requires a strong engineering or related degree, several years in industrial maintenance, PLC, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and people management; SAP/CMMS exposure is preferred. Comprehensive benefits and annual bonus available.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Admin or related field preferred.
8+ years of applicable experience may substitute for degree.
Strong maintenance/reliability background in industrial setting.
Experience with PLCs, drives, motors; hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

Lead maintenance activities for the Melt Shop and coordinate with the Superintendent.
Identify process and production improvements and implement cost-effective solutions.
Coach and train maintenance staff; ensure safety and standardization.
Manage budget for the Melt Shop area and ensure timely repair work.
