  • Maintain material organization and ensure correct lots.
  • Identify flask/coil issues and perform repairs as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Monitor furnaces for melt accuracy and production rates.
  • Document data in ERP systems and logs as required.
  • Conduct in-process inspections when needed.

Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Hours: 1st shift: Mon-Fri 6:30am-3pm; Weekend Shift: Friday through Sunday 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m; Second Shift: Mon-Thur 3pm-1:30am

Responsibilities

  • Melt elements used to produce alloy for the production of rare earth magnets and crush alloy for ball milling and jet milling operations.
  • Adhere to required safety precautions including handling hydrogen, nitrogen, and argon gases, lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Clean and prepare furnaces and work area to set standards.
  • Accurately weigh material for melt load amount/alloy type and transfer into the furnace.
  • Organize raw materials to ensure correct material lots are used.
  • Identify flaws in coil boxes and crucibles and perform repairs as necessary.
  • Perform required preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Monitor furnaces for melt accuracy and meet production rates and quality standards.
  • Record data accurately into ERP computer system, manufacturing routers, logs, databases, and control charts.
  • Perform in-process inspections as needed.

Requirements
