Job summary

Neenah Foundry Company in Wisconsin seeks an entry-level Melt role to support molding lines. No prior experience required; you must tolerate a loud, warm, physically demanding environment and read/work instructions.

Cross training across production tasks is available. Key duties include basic math, monitor furnace conditions, take readings, repair cupola/ladles/furnaces, operate yard crane, forklift, bobcat, move and process materials, load rail cars, and maintain a clean production area.

Description

The Melt role is a team-based position and plays a crucial role in the success of each molding line. This role is an entry-level opportunity and does not require any previous experience. However, you must be able to tolerate a loud, warm, and physically challenging work environment. The successful applicant must be able to work in confined spaces, stand for extended periods of time, as well as handle molten metal in a safe and confident manner . The position does offer the opportunity for cross training and experience in a variety of tasks related to production.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Basic math, calculator, and computer skills are highly desirable

Demonstrate ability to monitor furnace conditio ns

Accurately take readings

Make refractory repairs to cupola, ladles and furnaces.

Education/Experience Requirements:

Shifts:

Must be available to work 8-12 hour shifts

Must be available for overtime as production needs require

Shifts vary according to Plant assignment

Monday – Friday, some Saturdays and Sundays required.

Typical shift hours:

2 shift: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Pay rate:

Base pay rate of $27.51, 2nd shift premium: $1.50, 3rd shift premium: $1.00

Base rates increase $1/hour upon successful completion of probation (60 working days)
