Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for R&D Design & Development Co-ops for the Spring 2027 term within our MedTech sector, located in Cincinnati, OH. Co-ops will rotate through R&D Design and Development, using state-of-the-art tools and receiving on-site training, with opportunities to perform testing and contribute to design solutions under mentorship.

Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering, with at least

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an accredited college pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field. PhD may be considered.
• Must have completed a minimum of two semesters (sophomore or above).
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be legally authorized to work in the United States for the full duration of the co‑op term.

Responsibilities

• Use state-of-the-art tools and participate in on-site training.
• Perform testing, experimentation, and validation to support product design.
• Contribute to design solutions using CAD tools, simulation tools, and mentorship from engineers.
• Assist in developing laboratory testing, interpreting data, and recommending next steps.
• Opportunities to receive intermediate CAD training and build models.
