Job summary

NeuroBionics in Somerville, MA is hiring a Manufacturing Technician to build clinical-grade devices and support IO fiber production. You will perform high-skill assembly to spec, run inspections, maintain critical documentation, and support R&D prototypes when needed.

This hands-on role requires 2–5 years in manufacturing, exceptional hand skills, strict SOP adherence, and the ability to work independently on a cleanroom floor at our Somerville/Cambridge sites.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience, ideally in medical devices or similarly regulated physical products.
• Exceptional hand skills and fine manual dexterity, including experience with assembly of small components.
• Experience following SOPs and filling out work orders, travelers, and controlled quality documentation.
• High attention to detail and strong follow-through – build quality is non-negotiable.
• Integrity and transparency: report mistakes immediately, with no hidden rework.
• Comfortable working independently without constant oversight, while staying coachable.
• Capable of working on a cleanroom manufacturing floor, standing for long periods, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using a microscope.

Responsibilities

• Assemble medical devices and R&D fiber components to exact specifications.
• Perform high-skill builds and tricky assembly/integration steps.
• Maintain high yield and low rework through meticulous quality practices.
• Document work orders, travelers, and QC data clearly and accurately.
• Support R&D build efforts and prototype workflows as manufacturing needs evolve.
