Job summary

BD is seeking an Electro/Mechatronic maintenance technician for our El Paso, TX facility. You will respond to equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance, and keep the production area running safely and reliably.

Ideal candidates have hands-on PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge, 2 years in a similar role, and a commitment to safe, efficient operation in a fast-paced medical technology environment at BD.

Qualifications

• Electro mechanic or mechatronic engineering background preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics.
• At least 2 years in a similar maintenance role.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls when equipment has problems or is down.
• Inspect assigned work area to ensure machines will work and are in good condition.
• Follow preventive maintenance programs described in F76PM019.
• Record preventive maintenance accurately.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Keep tools available for any call.
• Suggest improvements on equipment.
• Coordinate with mechanics during shift changes.
• Follow EH&S and LOTO procedures.
