Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a field technician to install, configure, and upgrade automated medication dispensing devices in hospital settings. The role involves travel to healthcare facilities and hands-on work with medical devices, software, and networking systems.

Assignments are 28–32 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with some nights and weekends as needed. Candidates must meet facility credentialing requirements and be able to obtain access to healthcare sites.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel extensively for field-based service assignments.
• 1+ year of technical experience required; 3+ years in a field technician role preferred.
• Experience in IT support, electronics, biomedical engineering, or pharmacy technology is a plus.
• Must maintain personal parts inventory, sourcing from approved vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, and updates for medical devices, software, and networking systems.
• Conduct routine checks to verify proper functionality after setup.
• Troubleshoot device and network issues, resolving technical problems independently or escalating complex cases.
• Follow calibration protocols for servicing equipment
• Educate healthcare staff on device utilization and software functionality.
• Maintain compliance with hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
