Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - San Marcos seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join our inpatient team on the 7PM–7AM shift. The RN provides comprehensive care in alignment with the ANA standards, administers medications, monitors patient responses, and collaborates with physicians and other care providers.

Requirements include BSN preferred, valid RN license, BLS and ACLS, 1 year acute care experience preferred, new nurse orientation within 30 days, and on-boarding competency validation.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS required or within grace period.
• New nurses orientation within first 30 days; competency validation during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side-effects.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers; identify needs and resources.
• Meet CHRISTUS competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
