Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - San Marcos is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for night shift (7PM–7AM) in a full-time role. The RN will provide routine and complex care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients and families in a high-acuity setting.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (preferred), is licensed in Texas or a compact state, and has BLS; ACLS is also required. One year of related nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must apply the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient care and family interactions.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation and medication administration protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using the nursing process with assigned patients.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers.
