Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking a Medium Voltage Electrical Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in designing electrical power substations and distribution systems. You will create one-line diagrams, grounding plans, and construction documents under the guidance of a Medium Voltage Distribution Engineer, while developing proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

You will participate in site visits, coordinate across disciplines, and build a solid foundation in medium-voltage design and electrical

Qualifications

• Completion of 3+ years of an electrical engineering or related undergraduate program.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of electrical systems, including low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution.
• Build AutoCAD skills through hands-on electrical design work.
• Learn and apply building codes and safety standards to project design.
• Complete individually tailored tasks for design of medium voltage electrical systems and emerging technologies.
• Coordinate with engineering teams across disciplines on active projects.
• Attend site visits with project leads when opportunities allow.
• Gain exposure to the variety of project types and teams across the firm.
