Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking a Medium Voltage Electrical Engineering Intern to work in-person with our Electrical Engineering team on real client projects. You will build a foundation of electrical engineering principles and code requirements, gaining hands-on experience with our collaborative design process across low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems.

You will help develop electrical design documentation and drawings, building skills in Revit and AutoCAD, while learning engineering

Qualifications

3+ years of an electrical engineering or related undergraduate program
Basic knowledge of Revit or AutoCAD
Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Bluebeam
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt
Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with team members across disciplines
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Support the design of electrical systems, including low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution
Build Revit and AutoCAD skills through hands-on electrical design work
Learn and apply building codes and safety standards to project design
Complete individually tailored training sessions on electrical systems design, lighting, and emerging technologies
Coordinate with engineering teams across disciplines on active projects
Attend site visits with project leads when opportunities allow
Gain exposure to the variety of project types and teams across the firm
