Job summary

Promenade Senior Living in Town of Tuxedo, NY is seeking a Med Tech (HHA/PCA) to administer medications and support residents on the medication program. This role includes Home Health Aide duties with additional leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities include shift handoffs, narcotic counts, accurate medication documentation, and ensuring residents have the correct medications and supplies. A valid HHA/PCA license, 1 year of relevant experience, and English communication skills are

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a valid HHA or PCA license.
• Minimum of one year of experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Medication Administration Certification preferred.
• Must be able to lift 25-35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Will conduct daily cross over meetings at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Will do the medication narcotic count at beginning and end of shift.
• Provide medication assistance with the approval of the resident and his/her representative.
• Complete a Medication Assistance Training Program.
• Follows the Medication Administration Policy and Procedure and administers the medication to each resident.
• Record receipt of medications brought into the facility and medications sent out with residents and their families.
• Ensure that all residents receive their medications as ordered and that they have a sufficient supply of medication on hand so that residents never run out.
