Job summary

Elderwood at Cheektowaga is seeking Medication Technicians to join our Assisted Living clinical team. Full-time or part-time evening shifts available. Applicants must hold a NYS PCA or HHA license; prior medication passing experience is preferred.

Medication Techs support residents with personal care, monitor health needs, and assist with self-administration of medications (excluding injections). Join a growing team focused on resident well-being and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS PCA or HHA license required.
• Previous experience/certification in passing medications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs/assists with safe, proper administration of medication to assigned residents.
• Administer medications and treatments to residents as ordered by physician, following five rights.
• Maintain storage and distribution of controlled substances with proper labeling.
• Respond promptly to residents' requests and document accordingly.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living per care plans (bathing, dressing, eating, grooming, etc.).
• Notify nurse of changes in residents' condition or needs and report after care activities.
