Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living in Encinitas, CA is seeking a Part-Time Medication Technician to assist residents with medications in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. The role supports licensed nurses, handles basic documentation, and provides ADL assistance as needed.

Walk-In Interviews every Wednesday, 1pm-4pm, no appointment needed. Ideal candidates are reliable, detail-oriented, and communicate clearly.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a Caregiver in a licensed community or facility.
• C.N.A. License in states where required.
• Current Medication Technician or Aide Certification in states where required.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Intermediate computer and mobile device skills.

Responsibilities

• Medication Assistance and Personal Care: Follow physician’s orders and community guidelines for assisting with routine medications and providing assistance with ADL care as needed.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate medical records and report any reactions or medication refusals to the licensed nurse.
• Vital Sign Monitoring: Take resident vital signs and observe any responses or side effects.
• Shift Communication: Attend shift meetings and update nursing staff on resident conditions.
• Customer Satisfaction: Work collaboratively with a team to ensure the highest quality care and services are provided resulting in overall customer satisfaction.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all resident rights, state, and federal regulations, including infection control, fire safety, and hazardous materials guidelines.
