Belmont Village is seeking a Medication Technician to assist residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Calabasas, providing daily medications, monitoring responses, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records under supervision of a licensed nurse.

This role is ideal for candidates who aim to become licensed nurses, requiring reliability, empathy, and teamwork in a fast-paced, physically active environment with a strong emphasis on hospitality and helping seniors

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a Caregiver in a licensed community or facility.
• C.N.A. License in states where required.
• Current Medication Technician or Aide Certification in states where required.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Intermediate computer and mobile device skills.
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide personal care: Follow physician's orders and community guidelines for administering routine medications and providing assistance with ADL care as needed.
• Documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate medical records and report any reactions or medication refusals to the licensed nurse.
• Vital sign monitoring: Take resident vital signs and observe any responses or side effects.
• Shift communication: Attend shift meetings and update nursing staff on resident conditions.
• Customer satisfaction: Work collaboratively with a team to ensure the highest quality care and services are provided resulting in overall customer satisfaction
• Safety and compliance: Adhere to all resident rights, state, and federal regulations, including infection control, fire safety, and hazardous materials guidelines.
