Paycom - ATS is seeking a Medication Technician to safely administer resident medications per physician orders and facility policy. You will support ADLs, assist with meals, and maintain accurate MAR documentation while communicating medication status to the care team.

The role requires state-certified medication administration training and attention to detail to promote resident well-being in a compliant, resident-centered environment.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Medication Aide/Medication Technician certification.
• Prior experience in senior living or long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and documentation.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow physician orders.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to respond safely in emergency situations.

Aufgaben

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, dining, and hydration.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain room tidiness.
• Administer prescribed medications according to orders and policies.
• Document all medications administered, refused, or adjusted in MAR and systems.
• Monitor medication effects and report concerns promptly to nursing staff.
• Maintain medication inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal.
• Conduct medication cart audits and controlled substance counts for accuracy.
• Communicate with residents, families, physicians, pharmacies, and team members.
• Assist with scheduling refills and coordinating pharmacy services.
• Observe health status and document changes for care planning.
• Support medication adherence while preserving resident rights and dignity.
• Participate in care planning discussions and provide medication-related observations.
• Respond to medication errors or incidents following reporting procedures.
• Complete required documentation and training related to medication administration.
• Adhere to infection control, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements.
