Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a dedicated Med-Tech/ certified Medicine Technician to supervise medication administration and support residents with daily living activities in a Florida community. The role involves dining assistance, light housekeeping, and maintaining a safe, respectful environment while communicating effectively with residents, families, and staff.

The employee will participate in training, adhere to HIPAA and safety regulations, and assist in mentoring new staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Responsibilities

• Supervises self-administration of medication for residents.
• Assists with ADL's, meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry while encouraging resident independence.
• Speaks to/interacts with residents at all levels of care constantly, with empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.
• Observes and reports to supervisor daily any changes in health or emotional well-being.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents at all times.
• Responds promptly and courteously to resident requests for assistance including phone calls and family inquiries.
• Complies with HIPAA regulations and follows policies and procedures in emergencies.
• Assists in mentoring new employees and training of new staff.
