Job summary

Vibra Healthcare seeks a part-time Medication Tech to support VibraLife in Mechanicsburg, PA. You will supervise medications, assist residents with daily living, and help ensure safety and regulatory compliance on a day shift.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, coordinating with physicians, and assisting in emergencies while maintaining resident dignity. Prior SNF experience preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Ability to follow safety, sanitation and hazardous waste procedures and regulations.
• Ability to understand and respect confidential resident charts and medical information.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents and families as needed and supervise medications.
• Take and record vital signs and communicate with physicians and consultants.
• Arrange physician appointments and transportation if needed.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and file necessary reports.
• Respond to emergency alert calls and maintain resident dignity and safety.

Part Time - Day Shift

8 hour shifts

VibraLife is a Rehabilitation Center and Senior Living Community comprised of a short-term rehabilitation/skilled nursing facility as well as an assisted living unit. Located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Vibralife is a beautiful, one-story, state-of-the-art facility that includes the Vibra Rehabilitation Center and Vibra Senior Living. Expertly designed to address comprehensive care and living needs post injury or illness, VibraLife delivers a fully integrated care continuum for both patients and residents.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting residents, their family members and prospective residents as needed.
• Supervises and records medications.
• Assists residents with all activities of daily living when necessary.
• Assists residents in or out of bed.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Communicates with Physicians and consultants, and provides follow up.
• Makes Physician appointments and arranges transportation if needed.
• Responsible for knowledge of and compliance with state regulations, filing necessary reports, and assisting in training new employees.
• Responds to emergency alert calls.
• Helps maintain the self respect, personal dignity and physical safety of each resident.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Ability to follow departmental safety, sanitation and hazardous waste procedures and regulations.
• Ability to understand and respect confidential nature of resident charts and medical information. Ability to deal with residents and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to deal with emergencies in a composed manner. Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
