Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living in San Jose, CA is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to aid residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care communities. You will administer medications, monitor responses, and maintain accurate electronic medical records under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, CNA or MT/A certification, 6 months caregiver experience, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Must communicate clearly in English (verbal and written).
• Minimum 6 months experience as a Caregiver in a licensed community or facility.
• C.N.A. license where required in your state.
• Current Medication Technician or Aide Certification where required.
• Proficient with basic computer and mobile device use.
• Professional, pleasant, and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide personal care following physician orders and community guidelines.
• Maintain accurate medical records and report reactions or refusals to the licensed nurse.
• Take resident vital signs and monitor responses or side effects.
• Attend shift meetings and update nursing staff on resident conditions.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality care and resident satisfaction.
• Adhere to resident rights, infection control, fire safety, and hazardous materials guidelines.
