Job summary

Belmont Village Rancho Santa Fe is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to assist residents with daily medications, monitor responses, and maintain accurate electronic medical records under supervision of a licensed nurse. You will support licensed nurses with administrative tasks and contribute to a caring, team-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, CNA/certification where required, and good English communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must have 6 months experience as a Caregiver in a licensed community or facility
• C.N.A. License in states where required
• Current Medication Technician or Aide Certification in states where required
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Intermediate computer and mobile device skills
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude
• Consistent and reliable attendance

Responsibilities

• Medication Assistance and Personal Care: Follow physician’s orders and community guidelines for assisting with routine medications and providing assistance with ADL care as needed
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate medical records and report any reactions or medication refusals to the licensed nurse.
• Vital Sign Monitoring: Take resident vital signs and observe any responses or side effects.
• Shift Communication: Attend shift meetings and update nursing staff on resident conditions.
• Customer Satisfaction: Work collaboratively with a team to ensure the highest quality care and services are provided resulting in overall customer satisfaction
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all resident rights, state, and federal regulations, including infection control, fire safety, and hazardous materials guidelines.
