Job summary

MBK Senior Living is hiring a Medication Technician to document, deliver, and administer medicines to residents in accordance with physician orders and regulations. The role requires strong customer service, teamwork, and adherence to policies.

This is a full-time position with AM and PM shifts, located in a MBK Senior Living community in the Western United States. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent and be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience handling medications preferred but on the job training is available.
• Background clearances as required by government regulations.
• Must meet and maintain all state specific regulatory requirements.
• HIPAA compliance at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily medications, treatments and care as assigned.
• Observe, verify and document medication administration.
• Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacy and physician(s).
• Prepare medications for distribution up to 24 hours in advance.
• Participate in narcotic counts at shift start and end and report discrepancies.
• Assist caregivers in daily living activities and patient safety.
• Respond to resident alerts and ensure safety and comfort.
