Job summary

MBK Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician for the PM shift (2pm–10:30pm) on a full-time basis. You will document, deliver, and administer medications to residents per physician orders, while upholding excellent customer service and all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or over with proper work permit/documentation.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience handling medications preferred; on-the-job training available.
• Background clearances as required by government regulations.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Must maintain HIPAA compliance at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily medications and treatments as assigned.
• Observe, verify and document medication administration.
• Notify supervisor if medication is not administered as directed and document reasons.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medication records.
• Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacy and physicians.
• Prepare medications for distribution up to 24 hours in advance.
• Participate in narcotic counts at shift start/end and report discrepancies.
• Assist caregivers in other duties and resident activities as needed.
• Support resident safety and respond to alerts and emergencies.
