Job summary

Sonata Viera is seeking Med Techs for all shifts. It can be either part-time or full-time. Come join a team of star players and residents and bring your positive energy.

The Medication Technician Assistant is responsible for the care and administration of medications per residents' plans. Multiple shifts available; reports to the Wellness Director. Prior medication assistant experience with older adults preferred and state authorization required.

Qualifications

• Each team member who assists or administers medication shall be authorized by the applicable state governing authority.
• Meet requirements of the state assisted living medication assistant guidelines.
• Preferably experience in medication assistance with older adults.
• Demonstrates organizational skills and a mature, pleasant, cheerful personality.

Responsibilities

• Administer and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication to residents and maintain related medical records under the supervision of the RN and/or LPN.
• Verify identity of resident and record drug details on records.
• Present medication to residents and observe ingestion; assist or administer as needed.
• Take vital signs and monitor reactions; report significant changes to wellness staff.
• Maintain accurate care records and ensure compliance with policies.
