Job summary

AgeWell Senior Living's Sonata Palm Coast in Ormond Beach, FL is seeking a Medication Technician Assistant to support medication administration for residents under RN/LPN supervision. You will verify identities, prepare medications, document administration, and ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Authorized by the applicable state governing authority to assist or administer medication.
• Meet requirements of the state assisted living medication assistant guidelines.
• Preferably experience in medication assistance with older adults.
• Experienced and interested in working with older adults.
• Demonstrates organizational skills.
• Mature, pleasant, friendly personality.

Responsibilities

• Administer and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication to residents under RN/LPN supervision.
• Verify resident identity and record drug data on forms.
• Present medications to residents and observe ingestion or application.
• Take vital signs or monitor responses to medications and report changes.
• Document reasons prescribed drugs are not ingested.
• Adhere to community medication policies.
• Administer via oral, topical, eye, ear, nose, rectal, transdermal, sublingual and buccal routes per guidelines.
• Receive and restock medication supplies as needed.
• Maintain electronic medical records and complete documentation accurately.
• Provide bed baths and assistance with activities of daily living as directed.
• Support socialization and activities to promote resident well-being.
