Job summary

Aventura Health Group in Springfield, OH is hiring a Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our assisted living team. The Med Tech will safely administer medications, support daily care needs, and help maintain a comfortable living environment for residents.

This role collaborates closely with nursing staff to promote residents' health and well-being, following state regulations and facility policies. Full-time, part-time, or PRN shifts available with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must meet Ohio state requirements for Medication Technician/Medication Aide.
• Prior experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented approach to care.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed and in accordance with state regulations and facility policies.
• Accurately document medication administration and report any errors or concerns.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report findings to the nurse or supervisor.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, and mobility as needed.
• Maintain medication carts, storage areas, and records in a clean and organized manner.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and team members.
