Job summary

QSL Management in New York is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician for The Blake at (Community Name). You will support resident health by administering prescribed medications, recording changes, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.

The ideal candidate has a caring heart, a current Medication Technician license, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays. CPR/First Aid is preferred, and prior experience with older adults is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others.
• High School Diploma/GED required or equivalent.
• Current Medication Technician License issued by the state.
• CPR/First Aid, preferred.
• Must be flexible and prepared to work weekends and holidays.
• Experience working with older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report changes in residents' health and complete daily data sheets.
• Ensure medication management is provided accurately and in line with The Blake standards and state regulations.
• Explain medication dosage/pharmacology when needed; distribute prescribed medications and maintain related records.
• Assist with dining as needed or directed by leadership.
• Assist with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Primary Responsibilities of the Medication Technician:

• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assures medication management program is provided in an accurate, professional, and effective way according to The Blake standards and state regulations.
• Must understand and be able to provide explanation about the medication dosage/pharmacology when needed Distribute prescribed medications to residents and maintain related medical records.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others
