Job summary

QSL Management is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician for The Blake at Charlottesville. You will report changes in residents’ health, manage medications per standards, and document progress in medical records.

You’ll assist with dining and resident engagement while accommodating weekend and holiday shifts. A state-licensed Medication Technician and CPR/First Aid are preferred, with a focus on compassionate care for older adults.

Responsibilities

• Report changes in residents’ health and complete daily progress sheets.
• Ensure medication management is accurate and compliant with The Blake standards and state regulations.
• Explain medication dosages/pharmacology when needed and dispense prescribed meds.
• Assist with dining as needed or directed by leadership.
• Support activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

We are currently looking for a Medication Technician for The Blake at Charlottesville.

Primary Responsibilities of the Medication Technician:

• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assures medication management program is provided in an accurate, professional, and effective way according to The Blake standards and state regulations.
• Must understand and be able to provide explanation about the medication dosage/pharmacology when needed Distribute prescribed medications to residents and maintain related medical records.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Current Medication Technician License issued by the state
• CPR/First Aid, preferred
• Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
• Experience working with older adults preferred
