Job summary

The Blake at Charlottesville is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to support residents with medication delivery, daily health monitoring, and activity engagement. You will ensure accurate medication management per state regulations, and collaborate with the leadership team to provide compassionate care in a resort-style setting.

Required is a state-licensed Medication Technician license, with preference for CPR/First Aid and experience with older adults.

Qualifications

• Must have a state-licensed Medication Technician license.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Experience with older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record resident health changes and complete daily progress data sheets.
• Provide medication management per The Blake standards and regulations.
• Explain medication dosage/pharmacology when needed and distribute medications.
• Assist with dining as directed by leadership.
• Engage residents in activities to promote happiness.

We are currently looking for a Medication Technician for The Blake at Charlottesville.

Primary Responsibilities of the Medication Technician:

• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assures medication management program is provided in an accurate, professional, and effective way according to The Blake standards and state regulations.
• Must understand and be able to provide explanation about the medication dosage/pharmacology when needed Distribute prescribed medications to residents and maintain related medical records.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Current Medication Technician License issued by the state
• CPR/First Aid, preferred
• Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
• Experience working with older adults preferred
