Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide/Med Tech in Raleigh, NC to administer medications and treatments with accuracy and compassion. You will document in MAR/TAR in real time, observe residents during medication passes, and report concerns promptly to maintain safety and quality of care.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, adherence to regulatory standards, and collaboration with nursing staff. A strong foundation in documentation and patient care is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
