Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications safely and with dignity at our California community.

You will administer medications, document accurately, monitor residents, and maintain clean medication areas while following infection control and safety standards. CPR/First Aid and medication administration certification are required, with senior care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills preferred.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
