Job summary

The Carriages of Mt. Zion in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a Medication Technician to support residents with daily medication administration and basic care. You will work closely with a compassionate nursing team to promote resident well-being and independence.

A CNA with CMA certification and a high school diploma are required, along with a background check, drug screen, and TB testing. Prior experience preferred; full-time positions offer comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; at least 1 year of experience in a caregiving or healthcare setting.
• CNA certification with Certified Medication Aide certificate required.
• Background check, fingerprinting, physical, drug test, and TB test are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instrumental activities of daily living; help with medication reminders and treatments.
• Assist with setting up, serving meals, and cleaning up afterward.
• Provide services as indicated on Resident service plans.
• Assist Residents moving in and out as assigned.
• Assist with laundry service.
• Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists with instrumental activities of daily living, assistance with medication reminders, treatments and other care while encouraging selfcare and independence.

• Assists with setting up, serving meals, and cleaning up afterwards.

• Provides services as indicated on Resident service plans.

• Assists Residents moving in and out, as assigned.

• Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.

• Maintains clean, neat, comfortable safe environment for Residents, staff and visitors, including housekeeping services for Residents.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A strong desire to help others and compassion for the elderly is a must.
• This job requires a high school diploma, and at least 1 year of experience
• CNA certification with a Certified Medication Aide Certificate is required.
• A full criminal background check, fingerprinting, physical, drug test, and TB testing are mandatory.
• Alzheimer’s and Dementia training is preferred but not required.
