Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking a dedicated professional to assist in the Medication Room operations at the Bell County Jail in Belton, TX. The role entails safely distributing medications from filled prescriptions and ensuring accurate documentation in the EHR.

Responsibilities include preparing medication carts and supplies, verifying patient medications with the dispensing pharmacy, and maintaining inventory while communicating shortages to supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
• Must complete the assigned training program within 30 days of hire.

• Medication Verification: Verify patient-provided medications upon intake by contacting the dispensing pharmacy to confirm prescription details.
