Job summary

QSL Management is seeking a Medication Technician for Glenncrest at Buckhead in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves reporting on residents’ health, ensuring medication management, and assisting with dining and activities. The ideal candidate will have a caring heart and a willingness to serve, possess a high school diploma or GED, and hold a current state-issued Medication Technician License. CPR/First Aid certification is preferable, along with flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must understand medication dosage and pharmacology.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience working with older adults is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report changes in resident health and complete daily data sheets.
• Ensure accurate medication management according to state regulations.
• Distribute prescribed medications and maintain medical records.

Primary Responsibilities of the Medication Technician:

• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assures medication management program is provided in an accurate, professional, and effective way according to The Blake standards and state regulations.
• Must understand and be able to provide explanation about the medication dosage/pharmacology when needed Distribute prescribed medications to residents and maintain related medical records.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Current Medication Technician License issued by the state
• CPR/First Aid, preferred
• Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
• Experience working with older adults preferred
