Vibra Healthcare is seeking a Part Time Medication Technician for evening 8-hour shifts in Mechanicsburg, PA. You will assist residents, supervise medications, and coordinate with physicians while ensuring safety and dignity. Prior SNF experience and a current Medication Technician Certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Medication Technician Certification required.
• Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to deal with emergencies in a composed manner.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

We are seeking Medication Techs to join our team!

Part Time Evenings 8hr shifts

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting residents, their family members and prospective residents as needed. Supervises and records medications. Assists residents with all activities of daily living when necessary. Assists residents in or out of bed. Takes and records vital signs. Communicates with Physicians and consultants, and provides follow up. Makes Physician appointments and arranges transportation if needed. Responsible for knowledge of and compliance with state regulations, filing necessary reports, and assisting in training new employees. Responds to emergency alert calls. Helps maintain the self respect, personal dignity and physical safety of each resident.

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Medication Technician Certification required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Ability to follow departmental safety, sanitation and hazardous waste procedures and regulations.
• Ability to understand and respect confidential nature of resident charts and medical information. Ability to deal with residents and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to deal with emergencies in a composed manner. Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
