Job summary

Birch Healthcare Center in New Hampshire is seeking a Per Diem Medication Nursing Assistant to support safe medication administration and high-quality resident care.

You will work with licensed nursing staff, accurately document medication administration, maintain safe handling and storage, stock carts, and communicate resident needs clearly. Requires a HS diploma, CNA, Medication Aide, CPR, and at least one year of healthcare experience; shifts are on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Current nursing-assistant certification.
• Current Medication Aide certification.
• CPR certification.
• Understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology.
• Minimum one year healthcare experience or two years medication-aide experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer permitted medications in accordance with applicable requirements and facility procedures.
• Observe residents for changes or adverse reactions and report concerns promptly.
• Accurately document medication administration.
• Maintain safe medication handling and storage.
• Support medication-cart stocking and permitted medication-related tasks.
• Communicate resident needs to licensed nursing personnel.
• Assist with resident-care responsibilities as assigned and within your role.

About the Role

As a Per Diem MNA, you'll work alongside licensed nursing staff to support safe medication administration and quality resident care while providing additional coverage when needed.
