Job summary

Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Washington state is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to assist in the ED and hospital pharmacy. You will interview patients and families to gather medication histories, work with pharmacists, nurses, and physicians, and document information in the electronic health record.

The role is 0.875 FTE with 70 hours per pay period, 7 days on/7 days off, 10-hour shifts. Prior hospital pharmacy experience and PQAC certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Good communication and interview skills.
• Must be comfortable with patients, families, and other health care professionals in a busy ED environment.
• Good knowledge of common medication names, doses, and frequencies.
• Able to efficiently navigate and update electronic health records.
• Retail pharmacy experience highly recommended but not required.

Responsibilities

• Duties and responsibilities are performed in a pharmacy and office environment.
• Responsibilities are performed in a pharmacy environment and include standing lifting, walking, ability to be mobile, exposure to corrosives, poisonous and toxic (hazardous chemo and non-chemo) agents, and contact with soaps, cleaning agents, and chemicals.
