Job summary

Red Rock Behavioral Health Services in Elk City, OK is seeking a Medication Clinic Coordinator to manage clinic setup, chart documentation, scheduling, and coordination with doctors. You will obtain prior authorizations, assist with indigent medication benefits, track approvals, and help maintain inventory, supplies, and an emergency kit.

The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience in a mental health setting, and the ability to handle medical emergencies;

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in mental health setting required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with physical assessments.
• Ability to handle medical emergencies.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medication administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up Med Clinic with supplies, charts, sign-in sheet, and chart tracking.
• Assist clients with indigent medication benefits.
• Coordinate client flow to doctors and schedule future appointments.
• Obtain prior authorizations from insurers.
• Track receipt of approvals.
• Assist prescribers with medication payment denials.
• Document no-shows and manage disposal of used supplies.
• Follow up on no-shows via letter/phone/referral; track labs.
• Maintain inventory and emergency kit; manage orders and waste disposal.
• Obtain vital signs.
• Screen clients and report symptoms to doctor.
• Maintain communication with other Red Rock programs.
• Coordinate with health care providers and hospitals.
• Perform other duties as required.
