Job summary

Milestone is seeking a Medication Aide/Tech to provide medication management and assist with Activities of Daily Living for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will follow resident service plans, communicate with medical professionals and families, and help ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires at least one year in caregiving, six months in a health-related supervisory role, and strong communication skills to coordinate care with the team and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of caregiving experience.
• At least six months of supervisory experience in a health-related field.
• Ability to read physician orders and match them to Medication Administration Records.
• Understanding of medical terminology adequate to administer medications.

Responsibilities

• Follow each resident’s service plan in a friendly and supportive manner, including passing medications per physician orders and MARs.
• Document completion of daily tasks and observed changes in residents’ conditions.
• Communicate resident needs with other Medication Aides to ensure consistent care.
• Participate in meal service, including serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining room.
• Maintain required certifications and attend ongoing training and in-service programs.
• Follow all local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines.
