Job summary

Milestone is seeking a Medication Aide/Tech to provide medication management and support daily living activities for residents in assisted living and memory care. You will follow resident service plans, communicate with medical professionals and families, and help ensure safety and well‑being.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, at least one year in caregiving, and a willingness to supervise during shifts while maintaining HIPAA guidelines and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of caregiving experience.
• Six months supervisory experience in a health-related field.

Responsibilities

• Follow each resident’s service plan, including passing medications per orders.
• Document daily tasks and note changes in residents’ conditions.
• Communicate resident needs with other Medication Aides to ensure consistent care.
• Participate in meal service, including serving and dining room cleanup.
• Maintain required certifications and attend ongoing training.
• Comply with quality improvement programs and report issues.
• Follow local, state, and federal rules including HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines.
• Report elder maltreatment to appropriate directors.
• Support teamwork and maintain a positive impact on residents and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
