Job summary

Milestone Retirement Communities is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide/Tech to support residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will manage medications, follow service plans, and coordinate care with medical staff and families.

You will document tasks, communicate needs, and participate in dining services while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires a compassionate, professional caregiver who can supervise during shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of caregiving experience.
• At least six months of supervisory experience in a health-related field.
• Ability to read physician orders and match them to Medication Administration Records.
• Understanding of medical terminology adequate to administer medications and communicate with medical professionals.
• Certifications as required by state.
• Must be 18 years or older and meet health requirements, including TB clearance.
• First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Follow each resident’s service plan, including passing medications per physician orders and MARs.
• Document completion of daily tasks and observed changes in residents’ conditions.
• Communicate resident needs with other Medication Aides for consistent care.
• Participate in meal service, serving, clearing, and cleaning dining areas.
• Maintain required certifications and attend ongoing training.
