Job summary

PACS Group is seeking to fill a nursing-related medication administration position. The role involves assisting in administering medications to residents under physician and nursing supervision, ensuring compliance with facility policies and nursing standards.

The position requires maintaining accurate documentation, participating in QA programs, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and pharmacists to ensure resident safety and effective medication management.

Qualifications

• Must possess, at a minimum, a high school education or its equi.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as ordered by the physician under supervision and facility policy.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Assist in developing procedures to reduce medication errors and improve safety.
• Complete forms, charts, and reports as required.
• Maintain professional relations with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists.
• Report resident complaints to the Director of Nursing Services.
• Participate in surveys and quality assurance programs.
• Prepare, administer, and document oral/topical medications accurately.
• Verify medications brought by new residents are properly examined by physicians or pharmacists.
