Job summary

PACS is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to administer and document resident medications in a post-acute care facility. You will follow established policies, verify meds with physicians or pharmacists, and report any discrepancies.

The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to procedures, and teamwork with nursing, physicians, and pharmacists to ensure safe, effective resident care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide having completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document oral and topical medications as ordered.
• Verify medications brought by residents are examined and identified by the physician or facility pharmacist.
• Follow facility labeling, documentation, and drug receipt error reporting procedures.
• Report medication errors or adverse reactions to supervisors promptly.
• Participate in Quality Assurance programs and comply with all relevant policies.
