Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents under physician direction. You will follow facility policies, document administration, and participate in QA and safety initiatives in a post-acute setting.

The role requires a state-approved Medication Aide license, high school diploma or equivalent, and strong collaboration with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education or equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training and exam(s).
• Ability to follow policies, document medications, and maintain resident safety.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies for administering medications to residents.
• Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications per orders.
• Note and report medication errors.
• Maintain documentation and records as required.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists.
• Assist with QA programs and medication safety initiatives.
• Observe residents for adverse reactions and report.
• Ensure correct resident identity before administration.
• Handle discontinued medications per policy.
