Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or its equivalent.
• Licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training and exams.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed.
• Verify resident identity before medication administration.
• Maintain accurate medication charts and reports; report errors promptly.
• Follow policies on drug receipt, labeling, and destruction under supervision.
• Participate in QA programs and facility committees affecting medication process.
• Observe residents, monitor adverse reactions, and communicate with nursing staff.
• Assist in information security and protect residents’ health information.
