PACS is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents under physician direction. The role requires adherence to facility policies, participation in QA and safety programs, and accurate documentation of all medication actions.

Essential duties include following procedures, reporting errors, collaborating with nursing and pharmacy staff, and maintaining resident safety and confidentiality. A state-approved training program and licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Mathematical skills: fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables.

Responsabilités

• Follow facility policies governing medication administration.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Help develop procedures to prevent medication errors.
• Complete forms, charts, and reports as required.
• Maintain professional relationships with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists.
• Report resident complaints to the Director of Nursing Services.
• Participate in surveys and QA programs to improve medication processes.
• Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications as ordered.
