Job summary

GOLDENYEARS is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents under physician orders and nursing supervision. You will follow facility policies and document administration accurately.

You will participate in QA programs, report errors, maintain resident confidentiality, and cooperate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective medication care.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide having completed state approved training and examinations.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by the physician and under supervision.
• Accurately document oral and topical medications and report any discrepancies.
• Follow facility policies and procedures and maintain professional relationships with nursing staff and physicians.
• Participate in Quality Assurance programs and discuss medication-related improvements.
• Observe residents, verify identity before administration, and report adverse reactions.
