GOLDENYEARS is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents under physician direction. The role requires strict adherence to nursing standards, facility policies, and state regulations.

You will document doses, report discrepancies, and participate in quality assurance programs to improve medication safety. Responsibilities include ensuring proper labeling, charting, and timely communication with the nursing supervisor and attending physicians.

Formación

• Must possess a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide having successfully completed a state approved training program.

Responsabilidades

• Follow the policies and procedures of the facility governing the administering of medications to residents.
• Note and report errors in the administration of medications
• Assist in developing and implementing procedures to determine medication errors and prevention
• Perform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, charts, reports, etc.
• Maintain a friendly, productive relationship with nursing staff, physicians, the Medical Director, and pharmacists
• Observe and verify that medication is ingested or applied as directed and document refusals.
