Distinctive Living in Fanwood, NJ is seeking a Part-Time Medication Aide to provide medication management and ADL support to residents. The role supports the Director, Health and Wellness, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The candidate will carry out medication administration per physician orders, document daily tasks, and communicate resident changes to the care team. CNA/HHA certification and caregiving experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of caregiving experience or similar function.
• State-required HHA certification or CNA license.
• Supervisory experience of six months or more in a health-related field.
• Ability to read physician orders and match to medication administration records.
• Ability to understand medical terminology for resident care and communication.

Responsabilités

• Follow services outlined in each resident's service plan and administer medications per physician orders.
• Document completion of tasks on a daily basis.
• Record observed changes in condition per local rules and policies.
• Communicate with other Medication Aides to ensure consistent care.
• Assist in meal service, including serving, clearing, and cleaning dining areas.
• Supervise staff during working hours as directed.
• Maintain required local and state certifications including ongoing trainings.
• Follow CQI program and report issues affecting quality of service.
• Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, Bloodborne Pathogen guidelines and safety standards.
