Job summary

Waterford Communities Assisted Living and Memory Care seeks a dedicated Medication Aide to ensure medications are administered safely and in accordance with state regulations. The role requires interaction with residents professionally, maintaining accuracy and journaled records, and supporting nursing staff.

The candidate must hold Nebraska Medication Aide licensure and be able to work independently, with a compassionate, calm demeanor in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Must be compassionate and caring toward residents.

Responsibilities

• Ensure thorough and correct medication check-in with new orders and deliveries.
• Verify MAR matches current orders and follow all medication orders.
• Communicate with Pharmacy, Physicians, or other providers as needed.
• Observe and report resident responses to medications and treatments.
• Attend meetings with Administrator and Waterford RN as requested.
• Assist dietary department with beverages and meal distribution when able.
