Waterford Communities Assisted Living and Memory Care seeks a Medication Aide to ensure medications are administered correctly and in accordance with regulations. This leadership‑driven role requires precision, professionalism, and loyalty to Waterford policies while supporting residents and the health care team.

The CMA will check-in orders, verify MARs, communicate with pharmacies and physicians, and maintain Nebraska licensure.

Qualifications

• Must be a compassionate and caring individual with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow procedures precisely and maintain safety.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure thorough medication check-in with new orders/deliveries.
• Verify MAR matches current orders accurately.
• Communicate with Pharmacy, Physicians, or other providers as needed.
• Maintain a current Nebraska Medication Aide license.
• Familiarize with residents and policies; follow procedures.
• Report and document incidents and falls per Waterford policy.
• Complete all required in-service hours per state regulation.
• Ensure care plans are up to date and communicate revisions.
• Assist CMA with toileting, mobility, bathing, and related care.
• Observe resident response to meds and treatments and report.
• Attend meetings requested by leadership; support staff.
• Assist dietary with beverages and meal distribution when able.
